persons were under the impression that Companies already formed could register under " the Companies Ordinance 1865", aud the general impression entertained the Council

by the members of was to that effect

It was not so however as

Part VII of "the Companies Uss: 1862° (Imperial) had not been adopted

by the constructor of the local Ordinance, and the present Ordinance which

gives Companies previously formed the option of registering "(Banking Companies of course excepted) was therefore preparen

and submitted to the Council.
